Stratego Classic is a board strategy game of hidden ranks and smart maneuvers where players use deduction and bluff to outwit rivals and capture the flag.

How to play;

You may enter the game as a Guest or log in with an account to save your progress. The game also features a Setup page where you can record and load different army formations.

There are three main play modes: online battles against other players, matches against bots, and a campaign mode with multiple stages.

The rules are simple. Each military unit has specific movement capabilities. Players take turns moving a single unit on the map. If your unit is adjacent to an enemy on your turn, you may attack. When two units meet, the one with the higher rank wins the duel. If both units have the same rank, they are both removed. Victory can be achieved by capturing the opponent’s main base or rendering the opposing army unable to move.

Some units have special functions. Bombs cannot move and act as traps. Cavalry can travel farther across the board. Units may only move into empty spaces; a unit completely surrounded by others cannot move at all.

Enemy unit ranks remain hidden until combat occurs, and your units are equally concealed from your opponent. This secrecy makes scouting and sacrificial attacks a key part of strategy. Small units can reveal enemy strengths, but losing too many of them may cost you the war. Spies, though rare, can eliminate the powerful Marshal, provided the spy attacks first.

Learning how each unit interacts and controlling key movement zones on the board limits your opponent’s options and creates strategic advantage. Direct assaults may work by brute force, but true superiority comes from patient and precise positioning.

Great commanders are not born on quiet fields; they are revealed through long and difficult battles where every decision carries the weight of victory or defeat.
