Fight in massive wars in Redcoats io: 1000 Player Online MMO Battles. Experience Redcoats.io with muskets, cannons, cavalry, and warships to win battles.

How to play;

The game is a large-scale 3D multiplayer first-person shooter played directly in the browser, supporting up to 1,000 players in a single online battle. It is set in the age of muskets and sail warfare, where red-coated soldiers, black powder weapons, and wooden warships dominate the battlefield.

When you enter a match, you can choose between several roles such as infantry, cavalry, artillery, or naval crew. Each role has a different playstyle and contributes to the battle in a unique way. Infantry units form the backbone of the army, fighting on foot with a mix of close and mid-range weapons. Cavalry focuses on speed and flanking, artillery delivers high damage from long range, and naval forces control the seas with ship-based cannons.

Infantry units operate with five main combat options: sword, pistol, musket, pickaxe, and fists. Sword and fists are effective in close combat, pistol offers quick mid-range shots, musket provides stronger long-range firepower, and pickaxe can be used for both combat pressure and situational utility.

Navigation and situational awareness are supported by a dual-layer map located in the bottom right corner of the screen. The upper section shows the overall battle progression, while the lower section provides a more detailed tactical view of the surrounding area. A blue arrow indicates your current position and facing direction, helping you stay oriented during large-scale fights.

Victory is based on capturing and holding key forts across the map. These points are strategically important and often become the center of intense battles. Controlling them requires coordination, timing, and awareness of enemy movements.

For better performance in battles, staying with your unit is usually safer than solo pushing. Infantry should advance in groups and maintain firing lines instead of rushing individually. Cavalry is most effective when used for side attacks or targeting isolated enemies, but should avoid prolonged head-on fights due to visibility and focus fire. Artillery should always position behind friendly lines with clear sightlines, prioritizing clustered enemy formations. Naval units should coordinate fire support rather than engaging alone, using ship cannons to disrupt land pushes or enemy vessels.

Good players constantly check the map, avoid overextending, and switch roles depending on the battlefield situation. Controlling positioning is often more important than raw aim, and coordinated team movement usually decides the outcome of large battles.
